Rough designs for my final Website

These are my rough designs for my final website. I chose to follow a lot fo the conventions of a normal website by:
  • Putting the logo in the top left corner of the web page, which is seen in most websites
  • Placing the navigation bar at the top of the web page, which makes the web page more manageable and easier for the public to get around
  • Putting important information before the fold on the web page, making it easier to read and more eye catching.
I chose to use the background colour as white, this is because a lot of the other charity websites have used this layout and they also look very professional and they also seem to look like they are a more, well known charity, as RSPCA, PDSA and also the original PETA website follow this layout.

The audience I have aimed my website at would want the sight to be easy to get around, so if I had a lot of bright colours, if I used analogue colours, Split complementary colours and also Triad colours, I feel that the web page would be too bright and harder to take in, using white and the same shade of blue that is in my logo, it would be easier to understand.
Also, as the blue is the same colour as my logo, I feel as though the web site would follow the same trend and all tie in together.

For a highlight colour, and also some titles of articles and words, I would use the shade of brown which is the colour of the dog, as this also ties in with the logo and would make the web site look professional.
