After analysing four different organisations which are involved in the welfare of animals, the two that I felt influenced me most was the RSPCA website and also Animal Aid. This is because I like the layout, the use of colour and also the way they don't make you feel guilty to donate. Also, Animal Aid, has links on it's navigation bar for youth's and also education, which is what I would like to include in my website.
Therefore, my target audience for my website would be primary and maybe lower secondary school, because this way it is educational to them and will also benefit people of older ages which can also learn about the organisation I am making a website for. Also, by targeting younger people it will teach them to treat animals with more respect at an earlier age and will have a knock on effect with their children.
The demographic profile of the audience would be both male and female, as i would get a higher audience rating and would also be more simple to create the web site. The age of the audience would be from 10 to 25, as this includes school children and also people who would be more likely to take their first interest in an animal charity. Also, the demographic would need to have a good job, as someone without a job would be less likely to donate to the charity, so their employment status would need to be good like a store manager and above.
This is the Dempgrahic profile of the real PETA charity, on the y axis it shows how much the users get paid, and the x axis shows the months web site traffic. this chart is in US dollars and is a rough estimate so it is not reliable however, it does show a lot of information.
This is the type of demographic profile that my own charity web site would have, as i would need people to donate to my charity like the original PETA charity.
this is excellent audience profile work Sophie
